While social distancing guidelines remain in place, the Community Consultative Committees have been ceased, and public information about the renewal program is being distributed via newsletters.
We will continue working to make sure we do all we can to ensure these renewal programs deliver the best possible outcomes for people who live (or lived) on the sites originally, and people who may move in. A key part of this is fighting to make sure that sites where tenders haven’t been announced yet, the new properties are truly public housing – Director of Housing owned and managed, and not transferred to the community housing sector.
We can’t wait to do this work in person when the meetings can resume. In the meantime, we will be sharing the newsletters produced by the Department on this page as they are released.
