To mark Victorian Housing Week for 2016 the Victorian Public Tenants Association has launched the PublicAndProud Exhibition in the State Government Offices on Mair St, Ballarat.
This Exhibition showcases the significant contributions made to Australia by current and former public housing tenants.
The profiles of prominent Australians are designed to challenge popular misconceptions about people who live in public housing.
Iconic actor Bryan Brown is featured alongside business leader Jennifer Westacott, footballer Doug Hawkins and former Deputy Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The complete list of profiles is:

Bryan Brown – Legendary Australian actor
Lorraine Kennedy – Braybrook Community Organiser
Ror Da Poet – Fitzroy Community Organiser
Ann Taylor – Former President of Victorian Trades Hall
Graham Watt – Liberal Member of the Victorian Parliament
Michael Aboujundi – Winner of the Penington Award
Damian Ferrie – Health Centre CEO
Jennifer Westacott – Head of the Business Council of Australia
Anthony Albanese – Former Deputy Prime Minister

The exhibition will run until September 23 and is open to the general public. The exhibition will
then tour DHHS offices across the state.
